My Story

Over a decade ago, I discovered Lean thinking while searching for a better way to run our family business, Seating Matters.

I travelled all over the world, visiting Japan, Germany and the USA, learning from some of the best Lean organisations.

We brought the lessons home and spent the next 12 years transforming Seating Matters into a world-class manufacturing company that now welcomes visitors from across the world to learn about Lean.

Then, in 2025, a new challenge came along.

We acquired Sperrin Metal, a 63-year old manufacturing company. My mission is to create the biggest Lean Transformation that the world has ever seen and prove that any organisation can become world-class by implementing Lean thinking.
